I had come across OTD via social media and then met them in person at the NEC dive show and have been thoroughly impressed with their operation. Booking the course was super easy and I found the correspondence both timely and welcoming. On arriving at the dive centre I was greeted as a friend, offered a tea and made to feel right at ease. I learnt that three others had pulled out of the course so on this occasion it would be a one-to-one with Stef their Tec-Instructor. Here is a key point of business; it would have been very easy for them to cancel my course but they did not - early points scored here for customer service ... along with the tea!!
The course itself: I had a slight concern around whether this course would be value for money ... I can unequivocally say it is! We covered everything I expected plus a whole load more; Stef was great at making all the kit come to life and took time to answer all of my questions including better kit set up and points which will ultimately improve my skill as a diver. This went beyond just talking about the basic hardware!
Every other course (well nearly all) spend most of the time focusing on you as the diver rather than the intricate details of the kit that makes it all possible. This course answered all those lingering questions I had and made me realise how its not just 'witch-craft' under all that metal!
Stef was ACE - I couldn't fault anything and would like to say a huge thank you to him - I gained a lot from today!
If you've read this far on the review my only other comment would be (having read the silly negative comments on Google and here) that every dive centre is a business; they can only survive by making money ... like any business! However my experience of OTD has led to admiration of their business model and focus on the service experience as the end user. Very impressed and would whole heartily recommend to others!
